Riesling Apple Chutney


8 tablespoons butter

6 Granny Smith Apples, peeled and sliced

1 onion, sliced

½ cup Apple Cider

½ cup Ferrante’s Grand River Valley Riesling

¾ cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon salt



In a medium sauce pan melt butter.  Add apples and onion to cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add apple cider, wine, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt.  Cook for 20-30 minutes until apples become tender and sauce thickens.

Serve over grilled pork chops or vanilla bean ice cream!
